JOSEPH P. MONTELEONE is Executive Vice President of Operations and General Counsel to Somerset overseeing Somerset investment, development and management operations and all legal aspects of acquisition, development and management. Mr. Monteleone has been instrumental in the design and development of most Somerset projects, including 1801 K Street, 450 Park Avenue, 300 East 42nd Street and the South Bronx development projects. In addition, Mr. Monteleone oversaw and managed Somerset’s multi-family investment fund, SMFII, through cycle which produced an impressive investor return exceeding projections. He also manages Somerset Hospitality Group with assets including Monte’s Brick Oven restaurant in Mott Haven, Somerset Real Estate LLC, a broker licensed commercial and residential real estate firm, and is a founding and managing member of State Street Title Agency, a full-service title agency and advisory firm. Mr. Monteleone has over 25+ years of legal experience in real estate and has represented major New York real estate firms in purchase and sale, contract negotiation and consultation, general corporate practice and litigation forums. Mr. Monteleone is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and Hofstra University School of Law, a member of the New York Bar Association and a licensed real estate broker.
